I was curious about the origin of April Fools' so I wiki'd it. Looks like the first reference was made in 1392 in one of the most boring and difficult to understand books I ever read, "Canterbury Tales." But also, it's a part of human nature, and just about every culture has its own version of it. Interesting - we all love pranks. United in pranks...
